This weekend was definitely a dream weekend for the tifosi, as Leclerc got pole position and won his home grand prix.

Red Bull seemed to struggle throughout the weekend, with Sergio Perez out in Q1 and Max Verstappen in P6. McLaren, with their tribute livery to the legend, Ayrton Senna, were almost as fast as Ferrari.

However, the monegasque, Charles Leclerc, didn’t let others take away the win from him. He became the first monegasque ever to win their home grand prix. His joy was fully visible on the top step of the podium.
The start of the race was pretty thrilling, as a huge crash involving Kevin Magnussen, Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg occured. Thankfully all the drivers were okay, but the Red Bull car of Sergio Perez was definitely not okay.

Red flag was immediatly out. Carlos Sainz had a contact with Oscar Piastri at the first turn, which caused Carlos Sainz to have a puncture that lead him to not turn and be last. Although, the starting order of the restart is taken from a few laps before the accident, so Carlos Sainz as back to third place during the red flag.

The Alpines of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly collided right before the tunnel, which lead Ocon to touch Gasly’s car and get thrown into the air. This was obviously Ocon’s fault, and the team has stated that Ocon will face serious consequences.

Except for the start, there wasn’t much exciting things to talk about. For the first time in F1 history, top 10 finished the race in the order they started. Only 4 overtakes were done during the whole race. Lance Stroll had a puncture after hitting a wall, but he pitted and continued the race. There was hope for a potential P5 for Lewis Hamilton, if his team told him that the outlap was critical. In the end Max Verstappen was still in front of Hamilton after the pits.
Charles Leclerc won his home grand prix, in front of his family and friends. It was an unforgettable weekend for many F1 fans.
